Our Amazing North Hollywood Staff
Our teachers are highly qualified educators with training, experience and education in Early Childhood Education. Our teachers have degrees in the fields of education, early childhood education, psychology and other related fields.
Our teachers provide an environment of trust, care, respect and individuality for each child. Our dedicated teachers promote self-esteem in our children by providing developmentally appropriate activities that are initiated by the children themselves.
We select our teachers carefully and require all of our staff to further their professional development and attend professional conferences and workshops. All employees are CPR and First Aid Certified.
Ms. Jenat King
Red Room Teacher
Hello! My name is Jenat (pronunciation: Je-NET). I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I am the proud mama to my two fur babies, Benji and Maya. On the less furry side, I have one sister, as well as a stepsister and a half-brother. As the oldest of all my siblings and as an aunt to my beautiful nephew, I have always had a natural love for working with children.
I have been providing care to children for over 15 years. It was during this time that I received my AA degree in Child Development
from Pierce College. Although there are many things I love about my job, my favorite part is watching children learn something new everyday. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that I played some part in expanding a child’s perspective.
When I’m not at Beginnings Learning Center, you’ll likely find me at the park with my two dogs, or doing something creative-drawing,
painting, you name it!
Hi, my name is Lina Harbouyan and I am from Van Nuys, California, with an Armenian background. I have a wonderful husband and two children of my own whom I love very much.
I’ve been working with children for the past 9 years and graduated with an AA degree in Child Development. I just love the creativity and energy involved with working with children. The way they bring their imaginations to life whether it be with music, books, or art & craft. Learning is about having a good time. It’s Important to provide children with the right care and education in the best way possible to bring out their full potential, all while having fun doing so.
I enjoy arts & crafts myself, and lots of music, so there will never be a dull moment in the classroom. It’s my goal to nourish minds and keep our children’s futures bright.
Blue Room Teacher
Hello, my name is Azatui (Azo) Torosyan, and I am a teacher at Beginnings Learning Center- North Hollywood. I am a mother of two children; a 9 year old girl and 7 year old boy. Spending time with my family brings me joy. I have received my education from Los Angeles Valley College in Early Childhood Education. I enjoy every aspect of teaching and have realized in my years that children can teach us as much as we can teach them.
My passion to work with children stems from childhood. I believe each child is unique and we help them grow daily. I encourage creativity, individuality, imagination skills, sharing, and manners. I pride myself for being flexible, patient, and a ton of fun. Throughout my life, I have dedicated a lot of my time to take care of my children and I must say I enjoyed every minute.
Now, working at Beginnings Learning Center gives me joy to do the same with all the children in my classroom. Working together as a team with incredible passion for each individual child. I feel very proud to a part of such a great group of teachers.
Ms. Lorena Rodriguez
Purple Room Teacher
My name is Lorena, I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I am the youngest out of five - one sister and three brothers. I don’t have any children of my own, but I do have a dog that I love very much. I recently received my Department Certificate of Achievement and AS in Early Childhood Education from Santa Monica College.
From a very young age I knew I wanted to work with children. I was always the oldest child at the home daycare I went to and always found myself trying to help with the younger kids there. My favorite thing about working with children is watching them use their imagination and explore new things. I love seeing their faces brighten up when they discover something new and exciting.
I believe children learn best through hands on activities and experimenting with open-ended materials. During my free time I like to read, take my dog out to the park and spend time with my family.
